City College Course and Teacher Survey Fall 2020
What is this?? This is something that is done in every class. Perhaps you have done one already in another class. It is a way for City College to get feedback from their students on the course they provide, how the classes are working, and to get some feedback on the instructors. This feedback is especially important this semester given that we have been online because of Covid-19, and the school would like very much to learn the impact this has had on students.
What to know:
- To complete the form, you must log in with your CUNYFirst credentials (jane.doe##@login.cuny.edu). NOTE: You do not use your CityMail login credentials.
- The form is anonymous! Your name will be recorded, but it will only be used by Institutional Research to verify that you are in the course. Your instructor will not have access to the results until after your name has been deleted and your grade has been submitted.
- You will need to know:
- Course Code: 25008
- Instructor Name: Jonathan McVey
- Course Subject, Number and Section (Component): ENGL 11000 K (LEC)
- Course Component: Choose “lecture”

Some Notes & Things to remember…
- Send me the link to your site. Please do this now via email.
Review your site’s details
- Page Titles: Please review your pages to eliminate page abbreviations like “RE Draft 1,” or “RE_Draft_1” and put full, meaningful, page-specific titles. For example “RE_Draft_1” could become “Research Essay: Draft 1”.
- OPTIONAL: Have you put links at the bottom of the page so that your reader can click to the next draft of your work? This is a good move to do from a usability perspective.
- Is your website complete? Are all the major assignments on your site? And the drafts and cover letters? Please review.
- Please send me the link when you are “handing it in” for review. I will consider the email that you send to me as you “handing in” the finished version of your “final” portfolio. If you don’t submit a link to me before December 18th, I will look for it on that date to be sure it is completed. I suggest submitting it sooner so I may give you any feedback if anything critical is missing.
DO NOT FORGET…
I am going to make myself available to you over the next couple of weeks if you have any questions or concerns. Your questions may be about the website, or how to do something, or questions you may have about your final writing assignments. Please, do not hesitate to reach out!
